Predictions for March 10, 2018

The SW was a little late this week, but the predictions are finally in. With only three rounds to go, this is crunch time for a few teams, specially in D2.

Boca Raton (4-1) vs. Jacksonville (3-2-1) - The Buccaneers picked up a big win over the Tridents last week, and one more victory will sew up a playoff spot. Their final two games are against very beatable Naples and Miami, so this contest is definitely not a must-win, although they surely would like to clinch the division this weekend. Jax, meanwhile, are in the most competitive division of the three, with their 22 points being double the total of the next-best second-placed team. A win on the road would be a huge step towards the playoffs, with rivals Orlando playing at the Tridents. While Boca are tough at home, I think the visitors will want this one more. Jacksonville 32, Boca Raton 29

Miami Tridents (4-2) vs. Orlando (3-2) - The Tridents have pretty much wrapped up a playoff spot with their four wins, but will be angry after losing at Boca last week. Orlando's two losses to Fort Lauderdale and Naples could well come back to haunt them, and they have tough games against Krewe and Jax to finish things off. Another loss here and it could be goodnight Griffins. Tridents 42, Orlando 24

Tampa Krewe (4-1-1) vs. Miami (2-3) - Krewe would love what would basically be a playoff-spot clinching win at home in this one against a Miami team that doesn't travel particularly well and likely has to win out should they want a shot at the postseason. Krewe roll. Krewe 48, Miami 14

Daytona Beach (0-3) vs. Palm Beach (4-0) - This one could get ugly. Daytona took a disappointing loss at Sarasota last week, while Palm Beach have put up big points totals in all of their games so far. Palm Beach 55, Daytona 10

Indian River (0-4) vs. Sarasota (1-3) - Indian River keep plugging away, but you're not going to win many games giving up an average of 60 points a contest. Sarasota are having a down season, but they should win this won by a good distance. Sarasota 58, Indian River 5
