Okapi (0-5) vs. Miami RFC (1-4) - Two teams meet here with little to play for at this point in the season. Okapi got soundly beaten in their first four games before forfeiting last week against Orlando due to a lack of numbers, even though they have 60+ on their CIPP roster. Miami's only win so far came in the first meeting with Okapi, and with tough road games at Krewe and Boca as well as a home match against Fort Lauderdale, the Bumblebees are really only playing for pride at this point. Miami 55, Okapi 12

Jacksonville (2-2-1) vs. Miami Tridents (4-0) - A very very interesting tilt in the NE corner of the state. Jax are still very much alive in the hotly contested North division, a race that is likely to come down to the final week of the season. After starting 0-2, Jax are now three games unbeaten, including last week's tie with Tampa Krewe. The Tridents, meanwhile, have swept all opponents to the side so far, with their closest win coming by 12 points over Naples. The speed bumps on this trip could be the lengthy travel, along with the fact their biggest game of the season at home against Boca Raton is coming up next weekend. I think they do enough to pull this one out in a high-scoring affair. Miami Tridents 38, Jacksonville 32

Tampa Krewe (2-1-1) va. Boca Raton (3-0) - Another game with high interest, Krewe have shown they can hang with the northern teams so far, and also beat Naples. A win here would really give them an advantage in their division and make people pay attention. Boca have yet to lose and have a monster game next week against Tridents. I think this is where they take their first stumble. Krewe 27, Boca Raton 20

Orlando (3-1) vs. Naples (1-3) - The Griffins picked up their third win of the season last week in easy fashion, as Okapi didn't travel, which means the sour taste from the whoopin' they received the previous week at FTL will still be in their mouths. Naples, with three losses, are on the verge of elimination with how strong the North Division looks, and will be desperate here. I can see the Hammerheads keeping this one close, but will just fall short. Orlando 22, Naples 17

D3

Indian River (0-3) vs. Bay Area Pelicans (2-0) - Indian River continue to be the whipping boys of D3 and things shouldn't change here against a resurgent Pelis team. Move along. Bay Area 52, Indian River 5

Palm Beach (3-0) va. Brevard (2-1) - The Panthers return home triumphant after a spectacular 37-36 win on the road at Gainesville last week, and could well run the table if they win this one with only Pelis and Daytona left to play. This is a rivalry game though, and Brevard are off to a decent start themselves, including picking up a very nice win over downward-spiraling Sarasota last week. An upset win could propel them into the mix for a home semifinal. I don't see it happening, though. Palm Beach 45, Brevard 23
