Playoffs! Have you seen the Goff Rugby National High School Rankings? Orlando, Naples, Daytona, and Riviera Beach are all in the top 20. Some scoff and say it is one guy’s opinion. Swami agrees but Alex is arguably the most knowledgeable journalist there is on the topic of High School (and College Rugby) in the USA. So, it matters. And these teams are deserving of the recognition. Time for the playoff picks!

Orlando v Riviera Beach Maritime Academy Huge props to RBMA for the way they have played in only their second season. Swami thinks that they will surprise Orlando - Heavens! they surprised the Swami! by how much they have improved game by game. RB may even be up at the half but the Swami prediction is for Orlando to prevail. Playoff experience, depth, and more skill at number 1-10 will take it for the North Team. Orlando 22 RBMA 15. Naples v Weston A crackerjack match to be sure! Naples is unbeaten which Swami would never have predicted at the outset of this season. Weston has the best backs of any HS in Florida and they know how to run and when to take the tackle and when to pass. Swami says that Weston wins and slots Naples in as next year’s pre-season #1. Weston 33 Naples 22. SWAMI SAYS COACH OF THE YEAR: David Sellepack, RBMA. Paul Rokela, Runner-Up Cape Pirates v Jupiter Pirates miss the semi-final by the thinnest of margins. Swami thinks the four best teams are in the Cup competition and that Cape is at least 20 points better than Jupiter. Cape 34 Jupiter 14. Key Biscayne v Cardinal Gibbons A worthy matchup for these teams, deserving of a post-season run around. Swami expects both these teams to be a lot better next year. Rats claw and gnaw their way to victory in this one. Key Biscayne 28 Cardinal Gibbons 17.
