| The International Rugby Board Council has announced the implementation of a global trial of the “crouch, bind, set” scrum engagement sequence, which is aimed at enhancing player welfare by reducing impact on engagement by up to 25 per cent in elite competition. |

| About Red Cards |

There have been several red cards already this season. Most of the time, the players are unaware of the severity of the penalties associated with these cards. I am asking club officers to please pass on the sanctions associated with red cards so your players are aware of what they can expect. |
